وزير المعارف من 20 ايلول _سبتمبر 1941 حتى 18 نيسان _ابريل 1942 في عهد الشيخ تاج الدين الحسني
ثم في وزارة عطا الايوبي الانتقالية لاجراء الانتخابات .
انتخب نائبا عن حمص الى مجلس عام 1947 . كلفه حسني الزعيم بتشكيل الوزارة بنفسه واسناد وزارة المعارف اليه.

جدد انتخابه نائبا عن حمص الى الجمعية التاسيسية في 15 تشرين _نوفمبر 1949 .
